Cheryl Sosnowski, MMT

Cheryl is an artist, creativity coach and mindfulness teacher living in Phoenix, Arizona. She is the founder of Create Space Studio in Phoenix Arizona which brings healing art + mindful awareness practice to everyone brave enough to explore the universe within. She is a graduate of UCLA’s Intensive Mindfulness Practice Program, as well as a graduate of MindfulSchools mindfulness & teacher certification training. She has also gone through MBSR and MSC training. She is a certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for Teens facilitator. She is a life-long learner who loves exploring the intersection of art + mindfulness, as well as keep up with the latest findings in neuroscience.

She sits on the board of Mindfulness First, an organization dedicated to bringing mindfulness into Arizona’s schools, and sits on the resiliency council of Phoenix, whose mission is to help people heal from trauma. She is a volunteer and a professional teaching artist for Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona and is passionate about bringing mindfulness and art to at-risk teens, since she was an at-risk teen herself.

She facilitates corporate mindfulness trainings, as well as corporate art + creativity team building days.

Her artwork has been featured in magazines and has even graced the cover a time or two, as well as sits in homes of private collectors. She is married, has two teenage children, and a dog named Nama. When she’s not painting, she loves to read, hike, dance, go off-roading and laugh with friends until her face hurts.
